Silver Wings Wingwalking

Tradition, Variety, Experience, Salute with flag.

The Silver Wings Wingwalking routine is an exciting cocktail of Hartley Folstad's smooth piloting skills and Margaret Stivers' physically demanding yet artistic stuntwork.
The routine has been fine tuned to crowd and airshow producers' response and it is created to showcase the best of the best of wingwalking stunts with maximum entertainment value for the audience.

It is an unlike any other wingwalker act because it is an "in your face" non-aerobatic routine with every pass as low and as close as allowed so that every person in the crowd gets an intimate view of the Silver Wings Wingwalker's dance with the wind.  Margaret is not a dot on top of  the plane against the sky but a seasoned professional performing one of a kind stunts as her experienced pilot, Hartley Folstad, sails the plane.  As safety permits the act ends with Stivers raising the flag in flight as a tribute to our troops and veterans.

An 2005 International council of airshows demographic survey of airshow crowds revealed
"Because air shows are such family-orientated events, women make up nearly half of the airshow spectator base. More than 55 percent of all adults are between the ages of 30 and 50.  More than 45 percent of all adults attending were accompanied by at least one child."

People attend airshows because they love aviation but many attend because it becomes a community event. Whether the audience member loves flying or not the Silver Wings Wingwalker appeals to everyone in the crowd because they can identify with the vulnerable lady aloft the big thunderous bi-plane and she inspires them to reach for their own dreams.
